how does web 2.0 work? i want to make a website or page, but i have no idea how to use this program.?
i am in an internet class. i have to make a web business. i have learned a few things about an e-commerce, blog, info site, etc, but now the assignment is to make a website that is best for my web business idea. this is where i get stuck. i want to have a website/blog/page/what ever that gives information and links like a directory but will also offer a good way for people to chat and interact.
i heard about the web 2.0 but i have no idea what it is and what it can do for me.
can you use it for a blog page? can you use it for a personal page?
please explain.

Web 2.0 isn’t a “program”, it’s more like an attitude.
Here’s the Wiki article about it:
Here’s O’Reilly’s interpretation of the phrase — actually a pretty good explanation:
Web 2.0 is a social networking area of the internet. It is about the exchange of ideas, finding friends and people who you have common interests with. I personally believe it is the real value of the internet.
In fact yahoo answers is an excellent example of web2.0
So you say you are new to web 2.0. Then let me tell you something, Web 2.0 is the activity on the internet where you can create blogs/web pages. it helps you to share and gain knowledge on the topics of your interest. The process is very simple.
There are many sites providing service to you for free, and for price., like the blogspot, wordpress, squidoo and many such. These sites are very much similar to many of the social networking sites like the facebook, myspace, flickr….
You have to first register yourself and start an account in the site.
then after confirming your account, just login and try exploring the sites.
its very easy from here.
